What does it look like connect to the OPC•M community as a growing disciple of Jesus? Join us at Connect OPC! This two-session class can be taken after Discover OPC, and dives deeper into the ‘why’ behind community life at Oak Pointe Church Milford. Equip: Go Tell it on the Mountain

Now a fully VIRTUAL event from 9:30-11:30am

Our Equip event is going all VIRTUAL so everyone can view it easily! We’ll spend our morning readying ourselves with how we can step into the brokenness of this world with the hope of the gospel! In this LIVE event, we’ll work with trained coaches who will give us practical steps on how to share our story of what God has done in our lives.

Maybe right now you’re not even thinking or feeling like sharing your story because you yourself are not feeling very hopeful…especially in a year where “all the things have hit the fan” let’s be honest 2020 has been hard! But there is something beautiful and freeing about writing out what God has already done. Writing out our stories will be a tangible reminder to us of how the Lord has redeemed you and is restoring you to who He always intended you to be! And we are called to share that hope with others!
If you are unable to attend the LIVE event, we’ll have digital resources and videos for you to do with a group of people at any time! But the LIVE event will feature LIVE help and feedback from our coaches. So, if you can tune in the morning of December 5th, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to reflect on what God has done and be equipped to go tell it on the mountain!

Presents with a Purpose

This Christmas Season we have a few different ways that we want to support those in our immediate and surrounding communities. We would like to provide wrapped gifts, one toy and one clothing item for children in need right here in Milford. You can pick up a tag on the tree in the lobby, or sign up online to receive a virtual tag. We are also partnering with City Roots Tattoo Gallery in Milford to provide needed hygiene items and warm clothing to the Detroit Rescue Mission. You can stop at the Presents with a Purpose table in the lobby to pick up a list of what is needed or find the list on our website. These items do not need to be wrapped. Both wrapped gifts and donated items should be returned to OPCM by December 13. Thank you for helping us support our community this Christmas!

Advent begins Nov 29

Advent is a time of preparing our hearts for Christmas Day by remembering and anticipating everything the birth of Jesus accomplished and all the long awaited promises it fulfilled. It is our hope that as individuals and as families you will set aside time this season to remember, not only that Jesus came, but why he came!

This year we will be following along with the He Reads Truth & She Reads Truth Advent reading plans starting Sunday, November 29th.

Sermon Series: The Parables of Jesus

Good stories are the best – we love watching our favorite movies, reading treasured books, or hearing about our friends’ most recent camping trip.  In the Gospels, Jesus tells us some great stories that go beyond the events and characters to help us learn who God is, who we are, and how we can walk with Him in this oftentimes troubled world.  Join us this Fall as we explore “The Parables of Jesus.”
