The Dream Team is a group of incredible people actively serving in their gifts and passions. From creating a comfortable environment on the Frontline team, to leading the next generation in Kids & Student Ministries, we are a group living out our mission statement:

Serve In

Front Line Teams (Sunday Morning)

Security: Provide a safe, yet friendly environment for children in their area of supervision

Ushers: Welcome guests as they walk into the auditorium, passes out the programs, and collects the offering.

Perks (Coffee/donuts): Help with the food and beverages on Sunday: make the coffee, set out the donuts/bagels, and keeps areas clean before during and after services.

Greeters: Stand at the entrance and welcomes people as they walk into church. Guide new families to the welcome center to get their children checked in for Adventureland.

Welcome Center: Welcome and help new families sign their kids into Adventureland.

Ark Park (Birth-Preschool)

Nursery/Toddler Volunteer: minister to the youngest of our church members by providing a warm and caring place for them to discover and grow.
Preschool Shepherd: help kids discover how much God really loves them through crafts, play, songs & activities.
Story Teller: share the Bible story and lesson with a creative and dramatic flair! Scripts, props, learning aids, and multimedia additions are always provided.
Tech: run sound, lighting, and computer content for the Sunday morning programming to support the Bible story.

K3Cove (K-3rd) & Club45 (4-5th)

Elementary Shepherd:  build lasting relationships with the kids in a small group. Each week lessons are reinforced through fun activities and creating a caring, friendly environment where kids can grow spiritually.
Tech: run sound, lighting, and computer content for the Sunday morning programming to support the Bible story.

The Rock (6-8th) & 707 (9-12th)

Life Group Leader: build lasting relationships with the students in an age and gender specific life group each week. Lessons are reinforced in a life group environment where students find acceptance, belonging, and care.

Tech: run sound, lighting, and/or computer content for the Thursday evening programming.

Sunday Worship Team

Musician/Vocalist: plays their instrument/sings during the Sunday morning worship service.

Miscellaneous Teams

Grounds Crew: works on the outside of our building and landscaping to make welcoming.

Office Assistance: supports during the week with office duties.

Serve Out

Van Ministry

Van Ministry: drives kids (who otherwise wouldn’t be able to come to church) to and from church for Sunday worship or weekly student ministry programs.

Home Improvement Team

Home Improvement Team: helps those in our church and community with repairs to their home or yard.

Community Sharing: helps collect food items for a local food bank.

Protect Emphasis

Protect Emphasis: Protect describes how we, as a church community, engage in glorifying God through our pursuit of justice and mercy for those who are most vulnerable in our community, our region and globally. We do this by seeking opportunities to serve the poor, promote human flourishing, and restore hope through the gospel.

International Missions

International Missions (Peru & Zambia): Missions at OPC|M is about partnership. Partnering in Peru and Zambia to expand God’s kingdom both here and afar. Partnering through sponsoring, serving, praying and going produces impact at home and around the world.

Senior Center Pasta Dinners

Oak Pointe is so honored to be the first place to ask for help when there is a need in the community!  The Township has asked for 3-4 people to come clean up after the spaghetti dinners from 4:45 – 7:30 pm.  Spaghetti Dinners begin in September and are always the first Friday of the month.
