Begins Today, November 28

Today is the beginning of Advent! Advent is a season leading up to Christmas Day where we anticipate everything the birth of Jesus accomplished, and remember all the long awaited promises it fulfilled. To help us do this, we’ve gathered a list of Advent resources for individuals and families that you can grab at the connect wall or view online at

Discover Oak Pointe

Sunday, December 5 • 12:30p

At Oak Pointe Church Milford we offer a three class series to help you get connected and learn more about us as a church. The first class is called Discover Oak Pointe and is a great next step if you’re new here!

When you attend Discover, you’ll meet Pastor Paul, other newcomers and a few of our staff in a relaxed atmosphere over lunch. You’ll get to learn a bit more about who we are, why we started this church, and where we’re headed. There will also be space for you to ask any questions you may have. Men’s Breakfast

Saturday, December 4 • 8:30a

Our next men’s breakfast is happening this weekend on Saturday, December 4th and is open to men and boys, 6th grade and up! In addition to a hearty breakfast, you’ll get to hear from a few men in our church about practical ways they steward their gifts and time that serve to benefit the church, but also help build strong friendships with other men. Registration is required to attend and closes on Wednesday, December 1st! This is to ensure we have enough food so that no man leaves hungry.

Presents with a Purpose

Drop off Through Sunday, December 12

As we continue to think of others in our community during the coming Christmas season, we have two additional projects that you can be a part of. The first is our Presents with a Purpose program! This program enables you to shop for a local family in need of help with Christmas gifts this year. Select a tag from the tree in the lobby and return the items to the same location by Sunday, December 12th.

Winter Gear Drive

Drop off Through Sunday, December 12

We also have a winter gear drive running through December 12 as well. You can shop for scarves, mittens, or hats for children and adults that will be distributed to families who need them right here in our community. If you are interested in helping but are short on time, you can also purchase a gift card to Target, Meijer, or Amazon and we will use them toward either of these programs! If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Lauren Boone (
