Begins Today!

Advent is a time of preparing our hearts for Christmas Day by remembering and anticipating everything the birth of Jesus accomplished, and all the long awaited promises that were fulfilled. It is our hope that as individuals or as families, you will set aside time this season to remember not only that Jesus came, but why he came!

Pick up an Advent guide to help you do just this in the church lobby beginning this Sunday. You can also download a digital copy or sign up for the Daily Devo to get it sent to your email every morning at the link below.

Men’s Breakfast
Saturday, December 3 • 8:30 – 10:00 am

In addition to a hearty breakfast, we’ll hear from a few men in our church about practical ways they steward their gifts and time that serve to benefit the church, but also help build strong friendships with other men. Open to men and boys, 6th grade and up! Registration is required to attend and closes on Wednesday, November 30. This is to ensure we have enough food and that no man leaves hungry.

We are looking for a few men to volunteer to come early and set up. Please contact Aarong Gaubatz at if you’re able to help.

Discover Oak Pointe
Sunday, December 4 • Following the 11:00 am Service

Discover is the first in a three-part series of classes designed to help you get connected and learn more about us as a church. When you attend Discover, you’ll meet Pastor Paul, other newcomers and a few of our staff in a relaxed atmosphere over lunch. We’ll share with you about who we are, why we started this church, and what is happening now. There will also be space for you to ask any questions you may have. We are unable to provide childcare during this class, but children are welcome to attend with you. If you’re new to our church, this is your next step and we hope to meet you there! Register today at the link below.

Saturday, December 10 • 2:00 – 6:30 pm

We know this season is busy for everyone, especially single parents. That’s why we hope you’ll join us for Receive, a Christmas Encouragement for Single Parents. We’ll provide fun, free childcare for your kids while you shop for Christmas presents or do other errands beginning at 2:00 pm. Then we’d love for you to come enjoy dinner and some words of encouragement at 5:00 pm. To cap off the evening, there will be a festive activity for you to do with your kids.

To help us plan, please register by Wednesday, December 7 – Space is limited so sign up today! We don’t want finances to be a barrier for anyone in purchasing gifts for their children. If this is a need for you, please let us know when you register.

Presents with a Purpose
Through Sunday, December 11

We are continuing a season of giving here at Oak Pointe Milford with our annual Presents with a Purpose program which provides families in need around the Milford area with Christmas gifts. Grab a gift tag from a Christmas tree in the lobby starting Sunday, November 20 to shop for gifts or donate a gift card. Please return wrapped gifts by Sunday, December 11 and gift cards by Thursday, December 8. Visit the table in the lobby and speak with Lauren or Cheryl if you have any questions.

On October 2, 2022 we re-launched our NEXT Initiative: the expansion and renovation of our facilities for more effective ministry.
