Find Your Team

One of the best ways to connect in community at Oak Pointe Milford is to begin serving. Our teams are made up of people just like you who are actively using their gifts and passion to Make Jesus Known. Find your team by reviewing the various opportunities below. Then click the button and fill out the short form to get started!

Weekend Opportunities

Make Sundays awesome by providing guests a warm welcome, helpful
information, and a safe place to worship when you serve on a Frontline Team!

Coffee: Brew and set up coffee for guests while keeping the coffee station stocked and clean. Plus, you get to serve donuts after the service!

Greeter: You are the first face someone will see when they arrive. Flash a smile, say hello, and shake a hand or two as you welcome people into church. Our children love high-fives! Guide new families to the welcome center for help checking in to Kids Ministry.

Security: Provide a safe place for everyone to worship by upholding our security procedures.

Usher: The usher team helps with greeting, passing out message notes and other materials, counting people in the building, and preparing communion.

Welcome Center: The Welcome Center is the hub of our lobby. These team members answer questions, help new families check their children into Kids Ministry, and connect people to Oak Pointe Milford events and resources.

Team members of all ages are needed to partner with Oak Pointe Kids
to effectively disciple children into a lifelong friendship with Jesus!

Nursery/Toddler Caregiver: Minister to the youngest members of our church by providing a warm, caring place for them to discover and grow.

Preschool Caregiver: Help kids discover how much God loves them through crafts, play, songs, and activities.

Small Group Leader: Build lasting relationships with the kids in a small group setting. Help reinforce lessons through fun activities and creating a caring, friendly environment where kids can grow spiritually.

Large Group Leader: Share the Bible story and lesson with a creative, dramatic flair! Scripts, props, learning aids, and multimedia additions are always provided.

Tech: Run sound, lighting, and computer content to support the Sunday morning kids programming.

Hour Leader: Be the glue that keeps it all together! Keep watch over room numbers and assist volunteers as requested. Facilitate parent calls when necessary.

Access: Provide accessibility support and services to children with disabilities, special needs, conditions, and those needing various accommodations in our church family.

Help bring our weekend services to life when you serve on the Production Team!
Experience is helpful, but NOT necessary, as we will train anyone who has a passion
to serve If you enjoy a rewarding, fast-paced environment, production is for you!

Camera: Operate a live-switched, multicamera production and IMAG.

Graphics: Run worship lyrics, on-screen graphics, and videos.

Video Director: Switching cameras for our video screens ensuring a seamless experience for the online audience.

Audio Engineer: If you recognize “DIGICO” or “X32”, come find us!

The Worship Team serves the weekend gathering by leading people to worship Jesus
through song. Our goal in leading people in worship is to stir their hunger and affection
for Jesus, so that they draw closer to God, worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Musician/Vocalist: Play your instrument and/or sing during the Sunday morning worship services.

Make it possible for kids & students from the community to come to church,
hear about Jesus, and grow in their faith when they otherwise wouldn’t be
able to when you serve on the Van Ministry Team!

Sunday Morning: Pick kids up for church, help them check into Kids Ministry, and enjoy a donut in the lobby before bringing them home.

Weekdays: Drive students to and from our Middle School and High School Ministries on Wednesday and/or Thursday nights.

Weekly Opportunities

Serving in Student Ministries is one of the most rewarding ways to
pour into the next generation, and we’d love to have you join us!

Life Group Leader: Build lasting relationships with the students in an age and gender specific life group each week. Lessons are reinforced in a life group environment where students find acceptance, belonging, and care.

Tech: Run sound, lighting, and/or computer content for the Wednesday or Thursday evening programming.

Ongoing Opportunities

Part of what makes the Oak Pointe experience positive for guests is the look, feel, and functionality of our building. Join the Building & Grounds Team to help with preventive and routine building maintenance, and to make the church grounds look beautiful in every season.

At OPCM we want to care about the things God has a heart for, and we see throughout scripture that he cares deeply for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of his people. This team is designed to care for our church community as well as reaching into the greater Milford community to care for others who don’t know Jesus. If you have a heart for prayer, connecting with others, caring for practical needs such as meals, or just walking alongside others through tough times, this would be a great team for you!

The Staging and Environments Team seeks to create environments that enhance and impact the experience at Oak Pointe Milford. If you love the way environments impact our experiences and you have an eye for decorating, or you love to creatively build things, this team is for you! The team serves as needed, especially leading up the the Advent/Christmas and Easter seasons. Must be able to lift up to 50 lb boxes.
