At Oak Pointe we believe that prayer is vital to our ministry and our lives. This commitment to prayer is marked each year by our celebration of Ezra 8—a day set aside every winter where we gather to worship and seek God about the year ahead. Everyone is welcome and we promise you’ll feel comfortable – no matter where you are on your journey with the Lord, or your history with prayer. The miraculous and amazing things God has done in the life of our church over the last 12 years are directly connected to this commitment to pray. Let’s depend on Him together for 2024.
In Preparation
Many of us will fast in preparation for our time of prayer at Ezra 8 from sundown on Saturday, February 3rd until 5:30 pm on Sunday, February 4th. We invite you to join us, but it is not a requirement to participate! Please reference the Ezra 8 Preparation Guide which includes fasting tips for individuals and families with kids to help you prepare.
For Kids
Oak Pointe Kids will be providing age appropriate, prayer focused programming for children in nursery through 5th grade for Ezra 8. Parents, please plan to check in and drop off your children in their normal Sunday morning areas. If you’re new to utilizing our kids programming, there will be someone available to assist you – just head to the Welcome Center on the right as you enter the main doors.
