Groups are a place for you to deepen your understanding of God’s word, develop friendships, find healing, and explore Christianity. They serve to help you grow as a disciple and offer an opportunity to know and be known by others who are pursuing Christ.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:23-25

Life Groups are communities of 6 to 12 people meeting regularly in a home to enjoy fellowship, reflect on Sunday’s message, and pray together. They’re a safe place to grow in knowing and experiencing God as you walk through life with one another, and provide a natural place for discipleship and evangelism to occur.

Men’s and Women’s groups provide an opportunity to be in God’s Word every day in community. They consist of personal study with the goal of training you to comprehend, interpret, and apply scripture, followed by group discussion that’s intended to build rich community within the group.

ReNew support and care groups are intended to help you deal with life’s struggles while you pursue spiritual growth and healing. Please contact Alli Thompson at alli.thompson@oakpointe.org to see what ReNew groups are currently being offered.

Discipleship groups study God’s word together and look for ways to connect the gospel to our everyday lives. Timothy Groups are one kind of discipleship group that helps train and support men and women to be a disciple of Jesus who makes more disciples. Contact Ernie Minissale at ernie.minissale@oakpointe.org to learn more.

Classes help you to explore Christianity and understand how your faith connects with your everyday life. They walk through structured curriculum that focus on helping you go deeper in your relationship with God and others, or center around Biblical practices that help to form you as a believer.
