Starting Sunday, March 23rd
Exciting progress is happening here at our campus with our building expansion/renovation! We wanted to make you aware of two major changes that will have some impact on our Oak Pointe Kids spaces. SEE MAP BELOW
1 – New Exit/Entry points for kids spaces.
- Our existing K3Cove/Club45 Entry/Exit stairway will be removed making way for a future stairway that is a part of the new expansion. Beginning this Sunday March 23, here are the temporary changes you can expect:
- K3Cove will now Enter/Exit through the Ark Park secure check point area.
- Club45 will Enter/Exit down the stairway by the auditorium through the Club45 secured check point area.
- Should you have kids in all three spaces, you can securely check all of them into their spaces through the Ark Park Entry/Exit Point area.
- We understand that this will be new and may take time for all of us to adjust to these changes. Our heart is always to provide an awesome experience for families and volunteers. Part of that experience is assuring a smooth, secure process to and from our spaces. We hope that as we learn this new process and adjust as needed that experience will remain unchanged.
2 – Lower Level Restrooms
- The second change involves our lower level restrooms, which will impact both K3Cove and Club45. During the renovations, both boys and girls restrooms are down to one stall each – turning them into single-use bathrooms. We would encourage you to have your child use the restroom before coming to church!
March 17th-21st
- Removing rest room stalls closest to exterior wall from lower level bathrooms – adding a wall to make mens & womens a single stall rest room.
- Saw cutting openings in lower level and building temporary walls.
- Lower level egress installed.
- Demo West Stairwell (Stairs closest to the Front Entrance). Build wall to section off that area.
March 16th- Mid April
- No overflow in the Student Center due to current renovations.
Follow God Forward
On April 14th we revealed the NEXT initiative’s final design plans and timeline to expand and renovate our facilities for more effective ministry!
This initiative is about the quest that God is on for people; people outside of our church who do not know him yet, and those who call Oak Pointe Milford home as we are continually being transformed by the Lord. It flows from Jesus’ mandate to “Go, make disciples…” and seeks to fulfill Oak Pointe’s mission to know Jesus and make Him known.
We invite you to prayerfully consider what God wants to do through you and ask that you please submit all financial commitments by May 17th.
Total cost of Project is $2,900,000.
The proposed building expansions and renovations will address the following areas:
- Lobby
- Front Entrance
- Kids, Students, and Adult Ministry Spaces
- Administration
- Infrastructure
