Dwelling

Remind yourself you are in God’s presence and read again…notice how God might be speaking to you through his Word—dwell on a word or phrase that jumps out at you…let your heart respond to God in prayer…take refreshment in God’s presence.

Prayer

Brother Jesus—from the family of Judah, descended from David, born of a woman, sharing our flesh and blood—you became one of us, except for sin. May the glory of your true and perfect humanity strengthen us to overcome temptation and live as true sons and daughters of God. Amen. (prayer based on the Belgic Confession, Question 18).
